In 2006, CBS presented a special seven episode summer celebrity filled game show tournament called Gameshow Marathon. The show was based on the UK special of the same name hosted by Ant & Dec and later Vernon Kay. This American version was hosted by talk show hostess Ricki Lake. Gameshow Marathon was a seven show special consisting of classic game shows and Family Feud was the last to be played.
In this, the final Gameshow Marathon episode, finalists Kathy Najimy and Brande Roderick along with their families respectively, competed to score 300 points first to win the game just like the civilian version. The winner received $100,000 for her favorite charity plus a chance to win an additional $50,000 for a home viewer.

Both Kathy Najimy & Brande Roderick were contestants on the real show. Kathy was a civilian contestant in 1981, while Brande did a celebrity show in 2000 called Battle of the Beach; she played with her castmates from Baywatch Hawaii playing against Los Angeles real-life Lifeguards.
